During the winter months, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students spent time learning about animals, including their structures, life cycles, and habitats. Our work specifically focused on frogs, salmon, owls, and wolves. Students had some very cool hands on experiences including dissecting owl pellets, hearing from an owl expert and meeting live raptor birds. We also had a wonderful hands on learning experience sponsored by Friends of Graham and Parks. Curious Creatures came to Graham and Parks and children learned about and handled animals, talked about their special structures, how they survive in the wild, and learned about their habitats.
