G&P Steering Committee Update: September 2019

Dear G&P Families,

The G&P Steering Committee is an important aspect of Graham & Parks. It was created based on the belief that families, teachers and staff must be partners in the development, growth, and governance of a vibrant and successful school. It is made up of 5 elected parents/guardians, 5 elected teachers/staff, the administrative leadership of our school and a community member. The meetings are open to the G&P community and any parent/guardian is welcome, and encouraged, to attend and participate. Please see this G&P Steering Committee Information Sheet for more details about the Steering Committee and election timeline.

Elections for the 5 Parent/guardian Representatives will begin on Monday, September 23rd. If you are interested in being a candidate, please reply to this email or contact Lauren at 617-349-6577 x1182 by Friday, September 13th. If you are interested in joining the Steering Committee or just what to see what the meetings are like, please join us this Thursday, September 12th from 5:30-7:30pm for the Steering Committee meeting. Pizza will be provided. Childcare is provided, if you contact Lauren in advance. Here is the Agenda for the Steering Committee meeting tomorrow. This will be a great meeting for anyone who wants to learn more about G&P! All are welcome!

To be a Parent Representative Candidate, please complete this simple Candidate Questionnaire about who you are and why you want to be on the Steering Committee. Our goal is to have a Steering Committee that represents the diversity of our school and includes our Sheltered English Immersion and Language-Based Learning Disability Programs.
