Many thanks to so many of you who contributed to our rummage sale. Thanks also to our incredible volunteers – both parents and G&P kids! – who helped us set up and sell. It was great to see how many people from our neighborhood come in enthusiastically year after year because they love our assortment of goods. We will publish our financial results in the December newsletter.
November activities include the Election Day Bake Sale that was run by the 4th grade to raise funds for their capstone trip in the 5th grade.
Friends is also helping sponsor the Family Folk Dance on November 7th at 5:30pm. Those of you who attended last Spring will remember what a great evening of celebration and laughter it was.
November will also bring us the Food Drive and the start of our Annual Appeal. Like last year, boxes will be placed throughout the school to collect donations of non-perishable foods. Gift cards to Market Basket are also hugely appreciated as they are distributed to G&P families in need throughout the year. Our annual appeal raises the funds we give teachers every year to use for supplies, special projects, field trips, etc. Our goal is to be able to give teachers $20 per student next fall and to reach our goal we will need participation by the majority of families at G&P. No matter how small your donation, your participation in this keystone fundraiser will have an important and positive effect for our community. Look for the fundraiser mailing this month.
We are ordering more G&P t-shirts and will have them here in time for holiday shopping.
