Family Breakfasts Rock!

breakfastFamily breakfasts are a celebration of G&P's learning community. This is the way that the teachers and students share the work they have completed with the parents and caregivers. While the students love to dig into the buffet of food that the families bring, the main point is for the parents to take time to see their children's work and to speak with the teachers. You may have a portfolio of work to see or a recording to listen to. Sometimes the class will have prepared a song or a play. It is important that parents attend - it means so much to their children to be able to show them their work. If a parent is not able to attend, Tony, Jodie or one of the school specialists will sit with the child and review his/her work because the G&P educators know that children need to feel their work is important. If you are not able to attend a breakfast, please e-mail your child’s teacher so they can make arrangements to support your child. Family breakfasts are also a great time for parents to meet each other and meet their children’s friends. Here are some suggestions of breakfast foods that parents bring: fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels, bread, eggs, bacon, coffee cake, donuts, coffee, milk, or juice. Enjoy your class breakfast!
