Sharing Cultures
This is the image for the news article titled Sharing CulturesTsedale Wogbeza was one of eight parents who visited Room 106 to share a family immigration story or tradition. Tsedale shared an Ethiopian coffee ceremony that is passed down from generation to generation. She also shared some food and music and taught the children traditional Ethiopian dances and games. This occurred during the last week of the first and second grade classes' immigration expedition when the children were completing their passports and class book about countries around the world and the stories of families who've immigrated to the United States. It was a wonderful way for children to learn about each other and to increase everyone's sense of belonging.
